21 September Hollyweird: Brad PittI'd be like 100x more likely to go see this than 3. I will probably watch MI:3 on video at some point, but not becasue of Cruise, only because I've liked the previous 2 movies. However, i would not hesitate to go see 4 if Pitt were in it! Woo hoo for Brad Pitt!
6 September First public photos of baby Suri Well, at least she's real and she's not horrifying or malformed or anything. If you want to see pictures of her, click below, it's a video and there are 3 shots that cycle throughout the interview. Once you've seen 3 you've seen them all. But, I have to say, Chandra, the morning entertainment news girl on my radio station said she thinks Suri looks like a boy, and she kinda does. I know many people who just don't care. Some days that's how I feel, but then when it comes to be the day of, I LOVE it!! I love celebrating, I love being the center of attention. Most years I milk my birthday for at least a week, and sometimes a week before AND after. Honestly, I'm an otter and I just love an excuse to party and laugh and enjoy life.
(Otters are fun-loving, crazy, social butterfly people. It's a personality test thing and it's out of 40 points and I"m a 38 otter. Can you tell?
 )Having said that, here is my story from this morning. And, I hope there is more to come. I know there are at least 2 birthday wishes in my inbox that I need to go check. Be back later!!!
So, this morning I got up and there was a note on the coffeemaker taped to a pack of Reeses Peanut Butter cups that said "Happy Birthday Sweetie" from my mom. I thought "Oh, how sweet." Then I went into the bathroom to shower etc. and taped to the top of the toilet seat is this little Koala "card" thing that says "When it comes to being a great daughter, you koala-fy"
I LOVE Koalas. I have collected them for years.
So, this was particularly cute AND funny.
I thought this was it, I was good enough with that. Then I had gotten ready and went out to my car to come to work and taped to my steering wheel is a little baggie with money in it and a note that says "For your Birthday Lunch." She is the greatest sometimes!!

Happy birthday too-ooo meeee-eeeee 18 February In Her ShoesTonight my mom and I watched the movie In Her Shoes. It was VERY VERY VERY GOOD. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Good, redeeming, heart-felt, feel-good movie.
Synopsis from the website:
IN HER SHOES is the alternately hilarious and heart-rending story of two sisters with nothing in common but size 8 ½ feet. Maggie and Rose Feller are both best friends and polar opposites when it comes to values, goals and personal style.
Maggie (Cameron Diaz) is a party girl who barely graduated from high school, recycles jobs as quickly as yesterday's newspapers and believes her biggest asset is her attractiveness to the opposite sex. Her recurring state of unemployment leaves her virtually homeless as she bounces between the sofas of her friends and relatives. With no confidence in her intellectual ability, she prizes makeup over books and has an innate talent for choosing the perfect accessories and clothes for any occasion.
Rose (Toni Collette) is a Princeton educated attorney at a top law firm in Philadelphia. Her beautifully decorated prewar apartment is her haven from the outside world. With her nose perpetually to the grindstone, she struggles constantly with her weight and never feels comfortable in the clothes she wears. Her low self esteem regarding her physical appearance has left her dating life non-existent. Rose's one joy in life is shoes (because they always fit), but unfortunately she has few social opportunities to remove them from her closet.
After a calamitous falling out, the two sisters travel a bumpy road toward true appreciation for one another - aided along the way by the discovery of the maternal grandmother (Shirley MacLaine) they thought was dead. Through their re-connection with their grandmother, Ella, Maggie and Rose learn how to make peace with themselves and with each other.
Personal note here, If you prefer a movie with good "eye candy" this has it. It has Richard Burgi who I remember from Dawson's creek . . . at least I thought he was Dawson's dad, but it wasn't listed on imdb.com so I'm not sure. He was Amy's ex-husband on Judging Amy and according to imdb.com also did some CSI and 24 work. Okay, so I just did a bit o' resesarch and found out that they have a similar "look" but in fact are NOT the same guy, obviously. So, he's in it and he's great, AND there is the cutest guy! Mark Feuerstein, who I remember from What Women Want with Mel Gibson. He is WAY cute in this movie. Great guy next door thing going on. Okay, apparently I'm a little starved for affection and companionship right now. Rather than blathering on anymore I'm going to link these up and post this and go to bed!!
Another one of those movies that makes you wish someone in your family (certainly NOT yourself) would step up and be the peacemaker, make the first phone call, send the first e-mail (these days snail mail is a dinosaur
), do something to fix what is wrong. Makes you hope that maybe someday, when that moment comes up that you CAN be the one who makes the phone call or does whatever is needed to fix it. That was one of the best things about this movie, they were angry, they held grudges, they told the truth . . . sometimes. But they worked past it and got back to the love and the blood that holds them together. There is a phenomenally beautiful poem at the end. If I had the energy and no headache, I'd go find it online so I could print it here, but that would sorta almost could ruin the end of the movie. So, I'll just leave you to the movie and to enjoy it when you get there. Anyone else seen any good movies this weekend?Did anyone else see the Women's Snowboard Cross Olympic finals tonight?!? AMAZING!!! That is a crazy sport, should totally be included, is GREAT to watch and had a phenomenal, if bitter sweet, ending for us American's. But, in case anyone ever wants to buy me anything to cheer me up or anything check out my Stalker-riffic list. What brought on this request (see: Begging) you might ask? I was sitting here watching Alias, 3rd season I think and I was thinking "God, I wish I had these box sets so that I could watch them from start to finish." See that's because Alias has ben picked up in syndication or whatever and it's shown a couple of times on cable networks. But never in order, not even the same seasons. So, I wish I had the Alias box sets and the LOST box set and a ton of other stuff. So, since I'm sitting at home, close to the toilet, feeling pseudo-sick and not quite wel enough to be running around, feel sorry for me!

20 December Long time no seeOr write I suppose. Well, not much to say. Life has been average life. I feel like I'm disappointing my Kelly since I know she has a routine that includes looking to see if I've written anything new. Sadly, I haven't written in a week or two. Just busy, tired, holiday time and haven't had the time to write down the funny stuff I've run across. So, I guess I'll just fill in the last couple of weeks and maybe add a few funny notes here or there.
So, I finished Dog sitting and went back home. Where I belong, in my dungeon. he he, anyway. I got a Gazelle just before Thanksgiving. I haven't been on it much, but there are high hopes for next year. Especially if I can figure out a way to get Tivo service. Working on that. Mom is fairly adamant, but maybe I can turn it.
Oh, I just realized something. I gotta go. Maybe I'll write more about the snowstorms preventing my sister and I from seeing each other . . . ever again.

So I read through the interview out of curiosity and a desire to get to know this guy better. He's kinda . . . I don't know, like an unknown on his personal life. We know his movies and his characters and of course his looks, but I've never heard much about his personal life, AND I forgot he is dating Penelope Cruz. So, anyway, I read through this article and I am just totally not sure what to think of him. On the one hand he is most definitely any woman's "dream man" but at the same time he's kinda weirdo creepy. Like he said there is no lamp or clock on his bedside table, but there is a book AND a face and hand cream. ?? Wait, did you just say handcream is on your bedside table??? Um, okay, sure, you don't keep your good looks by neglecting yourself . . . I guess. . . . very weird to me. THEN people asked him to finish this phrase "It would surprise people to know" and his answer? that I make my own face and body cream. WHAT??? Okay, I get that you keep something in your bedroom, BUT YOU MAKE IT!!! Okay, that is just a little weird. And suddenly around that point of the interview my stomach that was all twitterpatted that such a "perfect" manly man could exist and still love women turned a little sour and suddenly he wasn't quite as great as he was before. BUT WAIT, it gets better!! So, then I click another couple of pages and THEN he's quoted as answering this phrase "a man should smell like" with this answer: a man, I haven't worn deoderant in 20 years. WHAT WHAT WHAT WHAT?????? Oh, my goodness. There is smelling like a man and then there is smelling like you're going to make me puke on you. WOW, I am just flabbergasted. Read the article yourself, I'm not lying at all!!
Okay, so he's still totally hot, I just don't think I would want to spend any actual time with him, I'd rather just stare.
